A trusted advocate for individuals and families across Etowah County and beyond

For more than 25 years, Erica Tucker Lang has been the attorney clients turn to when the stakes are personal — and the path forward isn't clear. Her practice centers on criminal defense, family law, juvenile matters, and probate, but clients consistently describe her as someone who brings calm, preparation, and honest counsel to some of life's most difficult moments.

Erica brings a perspective few attorneys can offer: she has stood on both sides of the courtroom. That dual experience sharpens her instincts, strengthens her advocacy, and gives her clients a meaningful edge.

Family law and juvenile matters — handled with care and conviction

Erica guides clients through the full range of domestic relations and juvenile proceedings — divorce, custody, child support, protection from abuse, juvenile dependency and delinquency, termination of parental rights, and adoptions. She is also appointed by the court to serve as guardian ad litem, representing the best interests of children when it matters most.

Clients value her straightforward communication and her ability to bring structure and clarity to situations that often feel overwhelming and emotionally charged.

Experienced in the courtroom — from both sides

Erica has extensive trial experience in District and Circuit Courts throughout Alabama. From 2006 to 2013, she served as an Etowah County Deputy District Attorney, prosecuting a wide range of criminal cases. Today, she applies that prosecutorial insight directly to her criminal defense work — representing clients facing misdemeanors, felonies, and probation revocations.

She currently serves as Prosecutor for the Town of Sardis City and the City of Boaz, maintaining active ties to both sides of the justice system.

Probate, estate planning, and business formation

Erica's practice extends beyond the courtroom. She assists clients with guardianships, conservatorships, commitments, estates, probating wills, and estate planning — helping families navigate complex processes with a practical, compassionate approach. She also handles business formations, giving entrepreneurs a sound legal foundation from the start.

Rooted in the community

Erica has called Alabama home since 1994. She is actively involved in Etowah County and currently serves as Treasurer of the Etowah County Republican Women, an organization focused on community service — including supporting Sleep in Heavenly Peace and providing school supplies to underserved students in the area.
